About Us
Currently Mary Curcio is the superintendent of the McGraw Central School. In the two years as a superintendent, the district has formed a Middle School and departmentalized grades 3-5. Currently Mary has been providing staff development in "Civility in The Workplace" to schools and to the private sector. Her latest endeavor is to improve the working culture and environment for all emploees. The district recently received a USDOE Innovative Alternative Approaches to Literacy.
In working with teachers, her specialty has been in mentoring new teachers, writing parallel assessments, examining effective learning, differentiated instruction, distributed practice and more. Currently her focus is improving the learning for troubled boys, how to build a master vocabulary list for any district, RTI for math, Synthetic Phonics and Social-Emotional Learning for students.
Mary Curcio received an AAS degree form Jefferson Community College, a BS in Secondary Education Mathematics from SUNY Oswego, a Master's in Math Education from Syracuse University and a CAS degree to be a school administrator from SUNY Oswego.
